William is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice and focuses his work on complex civil and commercial litigation matters, including commercial real estate litigation. He has represented clients in both state and federal courts, and has experience with various stages of litigation, including coordinating discovery, deposing witnesses, briefing and arguing dispositive motions, preparing witnesses, and preliminary injunction and temporary restraining order hearings.
In addition, Will has an active pro bono practice where he provides legal services to disabled veterans and immigrants seeking asylum. He has represented an immigrant detainee filing a habeas petition in federal court to a successful resolution, and also obtained a favorable resolution while serving as court-appointed counsel for an indigent defendant facing multiple criminal contempt charges.
Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Will clerked for Judge Madeline Singas of the New York Court of Appeals, New York’s highest court. Will also worked at a firm in New York City where he served on teams that successfully represented the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico in multiple trial and appellate matters, including one that was argued before the United States Supreme Court.
