Sam is a Partner in our Banking and Finance Group. He represents clients in a wide range of domestic and cross-border financing transactions, routinely acting on behalf of private equity firms (along with their portfolio companies), corporate borrowers, investment funds, asset managers, debt funds, banks, and other financial institutions. His practice focuses on acquisition finance, recapitalization transactions, leveraged cash-flow, liquidity and asset-based syndicated credit facilities, first and second lien secured facilities, unitranche loans, and senior and mezzanine financing transactions. Sam has also advised clients on workouts, debtor-in-possession facilities and exit financing, project financings and letter of credit facilities.
Sam’s clients are active in multiple industries, including insurance, manufacturing, technology and telecommunication, healthcare, asset management, restaurants, franchise, and professional services.
Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Sam practiced at two Am Law 100 law firms, initially in London and, for the past decade, in New York City.
