As an Audit Manager in the State & Local Tax (SALT) Practice, Brittany helps the firm's attorneys provide cost-effective state and local tax representation by conducting research, preparing documents, and performing computational analysis. Her responsibilities include document compilation and analysis to monitor and document client locations for domicile, statutory residency, and workday allocation reporting.
Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Brittany worked with Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (formerly Ayco) for over 10 years. During her time with Goldman Sachs as an audit representative in the Dispute Resolution Group, she focused on cases involving residency and allocation issues. She also managed use of voluntary compliance disclosure programs on behalf of clients. While not working on audits, Brittany assisted tax preparers with completing state income allocations and consulting on tax filing positions. She also has experience representing clients on IRS audits involving personal income tax return issues and tax and policy research.
