As an Audit Manager, Rhonda assists with the consultation of clients in anticipation of potential future tax problems resulting from forthcoming changes in residency. This requires reviewing potential future circumstances to identify tax implications and assisting with developing strategies to minimize future tax liabilities. She is also involved in tracking data for clients and giving advice on record retention concerning residency and workday allocation issues, and she works with firm clients to track and document their locations for purposes of counting days for statutory residency limitations and reporting work day allocations.
Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Rhonda worked with the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance for 13 years. During her time with New York State as an auditor, she focused mainly on cases involving residency and allocation issues. Her experience also includes withholding tax, non-resident partners and partnership issues, and non-resident shareholders and S-corporation issues.
