Hodgson Russ attorneys Patrick Hines, Matthew Parker, and Fallon Martin recently wrote a Law360 article, “An 11th-Hour Obstacle for Retail Cannabis Licensing in NY.” In it, they discuss how New York was expected to award the first licenses under New York’s Conditional Adult Use Retail Dispensary, when a federal judge enjoined the issuance of licenses in different regions across the state.

This has brought New York’s plan to begin retail sales of adult-use recreational cannabis by the end of the year to a screeching halt within the affected regions.
