U.S. Law Firm Hodgson Russ Celebrates 35 Years in Canada
The Toronto office of Hodgson Russ LLP is celebrating its 35th anniversary.
Established more than 200 years ago, Hodgson Russ began serving Canadian clients with U.S. interests in the 1950s before opening its first office in the Greater Toronto Area in 1989. In 1999, the firm moved its Canadian office to the Financial District in Toronto to be closer to its clients, where it remains. Since that time, Hodgson Russ has been proud to be one of only a few firms in Toronto devoted to exclusively providing U.S. legal services to Canadian clients on a variety of matters, including corporate, tax, trusts and estates, labor and employment, immigration, finance, real estate, and litigation matters.
In the coming years, the more than 60 attorneys in the cross-border practice of Hodgson Russ – some of whom were born or raised in Canada – look forward to expanding the firm’s presence throughout the country. The firm will do this by continuing to provide exceptional service to its Canadian clients and their financial, legal, and other advisors, crafting sophisticated solutions focused on the unique needs of Canadians.
Hodgson Russ’s commitment to Canada extends to the Canadian community. The firm is a long-standing supporter of the Shaw Festival Theatre, Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children, Central Canadian Public Television Association, and a variety of other organizations in the greater Toronto and southern Ontario areas.
