Sujata Yalamanchili Assumes Leadership of Real Estate, Finance & Bankruptcy Practice Area
Hodgson Russ LLP announces that Sujata Yalamanchili will serve as the practice area leader (PAL) for the law firm’s Real Estate, Finance & Bankruptcy Practice Area. Her leadership will take effect March 31, 2011.
As practice area leader, Ms. Yalamanchili will oversee the firm’s Real Estate & Finance and Bankruptcy, Restructuring & Commercial Litigation Practice Groups. The firm has five practice areas, each overseen by a PAL, and they are the primary business units of the firm. The other four practice areas are Business; Litigation; Employment, Benefits, and Immigration; and Tax.

Ms. Yalamanchili will succeed John P. Amershadian as the firm’s Real Estate, Finance & Bankruptcy PAL.

As a partner in the firm’s Real Estate & Finance Practice Group, Ms. Yalamanchili draws on her extensive experience in business and commercial real estate development, commercial leasing, and real estate investment and financing to provide business-focused legal advice to help her clients reach their goals. Ms. Yalamanchili currently serves as a member of the board of directors of Summit Educational Resources, as a trustee of the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site Foundation, and as a member of the board of directors of the University at Buffalo School of Management Alumni Association, which she previously served as president.
Mr. Amershadian, also a partner in the Real Estate & Finance Practice Group, concentrates his practice in transactional work, including bank and other financing and the purchase and sale of businesses. He serves as the lead attorney in multi-lender financings representing borrowers and bank syndicates; represents developers in construction and permanent mortgage financings; and assists with multiple types of asset-backed securitizations. He is a director and the secretary of Western New York Public Broadcasting Association (WNED).
