Hodgson Russ at Top of National Law Journal Ranking of Percentage of Women Partners
Hodgson Russ is ranked number 33 in a new national listing of percentages of women equity partners at U.S. law firms. The firm is the only one based in Western New York to make the top 50. The list, titled “Women in the Equity Partnership: How Firms Fare,” appears in the July 23 issue of the National Law Journal. The data, collected from the 256 largest firms in the country, reflects full-time-equivalent female equity partners for 2011.
John P. Amershadian, president of Hodgson Russ, said, “We believe that a diverse firm not only creates a more rewarding work environment but also allows us to better serve our diverse client base. The benefits to us of our actively pursuing diversity of all types are clear.”
Women have long played integral roles in the leadership of Hodgson Russ. Hodgson Russ was the first AMLaw 350 firm to be managed by a woman, Dianne Bennett. Currently, Sujata Yalamanchili serves as the practice area leader for one of our five practice areas, and Cathy Fleming serves as managing partner for our New York City office.
