Marla Waiss Accepted to Leadership Buffalo Rising Leaders Program
Marla Waiss, an attorney in Hodgson Russ LLP's Federal/International Tax Practice Group, was recently accepted to the Leadership Buffalo Rising Leaders class of 2006.
In the Rising Leaders program, intended for the area's up-and-coming leaders age 22-35, participants learn about the issues that affect their community to help them grow into strong and responsible leaders. They also examine different leadership principles to help them develop a leadership style that will help them succeed.
Ms. Waiss's practice often focuses on cross-border matters, including business expansion into the United States, tax considerations in private and public offerings, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, the tax implications of relinquishment of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident ("green card") status, and the application of the U.S. anti-deferral regimes.
Leadership Buffalo is an organization whose mission is to unite existing and emerging leaders from diverse backgrounds and perspectives in order to increase their knowledge of community issues, broaden their vision, and enhance their ability to lead.
