Joseph T. McKernan Joins Firm as a Partner in NYC Office

Hodgson Russ announces Joseph T. McKernan has joined the law firm as a partner in the Real Estate & Finance Practice Group. He is resident in the firm’s New York City office.

Mr. McKernan counsels lenders, administrative agents, borrowers, investors, and sponsors, including public and private companies, financial institutions, hedge funds and private equity funds, on numerous syndicated and single-lender credit facilities and various types of secured and unsecured, senior, and mezzanine financing transactions. Mr. McKernan also represents investment funds, independent power producers, utilities, energy marketers, and traders in a wide range of energy derivative transactions and other energy transactions.

Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Mr. McKernan served as of counsel in the New York City office of an international law firm. Before that, he was in-house counsel to one of the nation's largest electrical utilities.
