Jessica L. Copeland Joins Hodgson Russ in Business Litigation and IP Practice Groups
Jessica L. Copeland has joined Hodgson Russ’s Business Litigation and Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Groups in the law firm’s Buffalo office.
Ms. Copeland focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation. Her experience includes protecting patents and trademarks in federal and appellate courts for clients in industries such as medical and mechanical devices, computer software and hardware, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, and e-commerce technologies. She also has experience in appellate work and recently argued an issue on appeal before the Federal Circuit.
Ms. Copeland is also experienced in handling the transactional aspects of intellectual property, including drafting and negotiating licenses, preparing and prosecuting trademark applications, preparing opinions, and conducting due diligence investigations.
Prior to joining Hodgson Russ, Ms. Copeland practiced in the New York City office of a prominent intellectual property law firm, Morgan & Finnegan, LLP. She was a judicial intern for Hon. Leonard D. Wexler in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
