Hodgson Russ Attorneys in Key Roles at Real Property Tax Seminars
Hodgson Russ LLP attorneys will be significantly involved as chairpersons and speakers at the upcoming series of New York State Bar Association seminars titled “Tax Aspects of the Real Property Law Transactions.” The half-day seminars will be presented in four locations across New York State in early June.
Harry G. Meyer, of counsel in the firm’s Real Estate & Finance Practice Group, is a planning co-chair for the series and chair of the June 12 Rochester seminar. Jack Trachtenberg, a senior associate in the State & Local Tax Practice Group, is chair of the June 5 Albany seminar.
Mr. Meyer, Mr. Trachtenberg, and Mark S. Klein, a partner in the firm’s State & Local Tax Practice Group, are speakers on the topic “Specialized New York State Taxes Which Impact Real Estate Ownership and Operation.” The presentation — which addresses sales taxes on real property transactions and repairs or improvements, mortgage and transfer taxes, the mansion tax, and other crucial issues — will be delivered by Mr. Meyer in Rochester, Mr. Trachtenberg in Albany, and Mr. Klein at the June 5 New York City seminar.
