Hodgson Russ Announces New Partners McKenna and Talbot

Hodgson Russ is pleased to announce Britta L. McKenna and Kevin R. Talbot, both resident in the law firm’s Buffalo office, have been elected to the firm’s partnership.

  Ms. McKenna concentrates her practice in all aspects of estate and trust planning and administration. She has a particular focus on U.S./Canada cross-border tax and estate planning. She is also a contributor to Canadian Tax Highlights. Her recent articles for this Canadian Tax Foundation publication include "U.S. Estate Tax: 2011 and 2012" and "U.S. Estate Tax on U.S. Realty." She also recently co-authored "Broadening New York's Decanting Statute," New York Law Journal, September 2011. In addition, Ms. McKenna is a regular speaker on both domestic and cross-border estate planning.   A significant portion of Mr. Talbot's practice involves representing private and public companies, both domestically and internationally, in complex acquisitions and disposition transactions, joint ventures, and restructuring transactions. Mr. Talbot has experience assisting private equity firms, financial institutions, corporate management, and privately held and public companies in all aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and leveraged buyout and venture capital transactions. He also provides general corporate and contract advice, including distribution agreements, supply agreements, sales representative agreements, license agreements, and employment agreements, both domestically and internationally, for clients in various industries.
