Hodgson Russ Announces New Litigation Practice Area Leader
Hodgson Russ announces Michael Maxwell will assume the role of Litigation Practice Area leader on April 1, 2015.
Michael will continue to serve as the firm’s Tort’s, Insurance & Products Liability Practice leader—a position he has held since 2012. He has broad experience in general business litigation, including contract actions, trade secret cases, non-compete agreements, and product liability issues. He has been lead trial and appellate counsel on behalf of major corporations and insurance companies in product liability actions and environmental exposure cases, and he has tried numerous high-exposure personal injury cases on behalf of corporations and individuals, particularly in the areas of toxic tort, product liability, and labor law.
Michael is replacing Benjamin Zuffranieri, who is stepping down as Litigation Practice Area leader to gain the time and flexibility to focus on business development and other initiatives for the firm.
“Periodically rotating leadership positions is an integral part of our firm culture,” said Hodgson Russ’s president, John Amershadian. “Our universal belief in this concept says a lot of very positive things about the firm.”
