Immigration Issues for Student Entrepreneurs
Many schools encourage student entrepreneurship, but it can cause immigration challenges for foreign-born entrepreneurs. In this session, Hodgson Russ immigration attorney, David Wilks, and co-presenter, Linda Gentile of Carnegie Mellon University, discuss entrepreneurship during school (self-employment issues, unpaid work, offer of credit), immigration strategies after graduation, and approaches for advising U.S. students and professors about the impact of immigration.
