Free Speech in the Workplace: CEOs and Thought Leaders Weigh In

Speaking Engagement
Virtual

The Harvard Business School Club of New York (HBSCNY) is pleased to present a multi-part series exploring the “Complexity of Free Speech” with a range of experts and opinion leaders from the community.

CEOs, Founders, Board members and consultants are faced with the contradictory needs of our employees and stakeholders to “speak up” about any number of issues, and yet they want to consider work to be a “safe place” where, for example, they are free from social and political judgments and free from what they consider harassing speech.   Charles H. Kaplan joins a group of experienced managers and thinkers who will discuss how to execute in this complex legal and social environment, bringing specific examples forward from their careers of what worked well and what they wish they could have done better.  They will discuss how to play the long game and develop trust in sometimes difficult situations.
