Thomas is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice. He represents private and public sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment law including disciplinary action and terminations, defending discrimination claims, drafting employment agreements and separation/severance agreements, conducting internal investigations, and counseling clients about the application of various state and federal employment laws. He provides a wide range of labor services to union employers in the public and private sectors, including advice about negotiations, defending labor arbitrations, processing grievances, and general advice about navigating the union environment.
Thomas practices regularly before numerous administrative agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the New York State Division of Human Rights.
Thomas also counsels Canadian clients on a broad range of labor and employment legal issues related to operation and expansion into the U.S. market.
