Josh is highly experienced in a wide range of business litigation and employment litigation matters throughout New York State and Oregon. His areas of focus include business disputes, shareholder litigation, and employment litigation. Josh has broad experience representing individuals and commercial clients in claims involving securities fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference with contract, unfair competition, and other business torts. In addition, Josh has experience representing businesses, individuals, and municipalities in land use and real property litigation.
Josh counsels individuals and corporate clients in business disputes and resulting litigation in State and Federal Courts, and various arbitration forums such as JAMS, Signature Resolution, and AAA. In addition, he represents employers in labor arbitration and litigation matters including employment discrimination and contract claims.
Josh is recognized for his ability to help clients realize the most efficient outcomes possible. He is known for his ability to anticipate potential obstacles in a case and develop an overall strategy that is beneficial to the client’s bottom line. Adept at rerouting a case that has encountered challenges, Josh thrives on resolving complex issues.
Recently, Josh successfully represented a concert venue in a “bet-the-business” trial, denying eviction and forcing the landlord to extend his client’s lease for an additional five years. He also helped successfully represent minority shareholders who had been deprived of the fair value of their shares, obtained dismissal of numerous claims sounding in breach of contract and discrimination against a private university, and obtained a favorable settlement in a complex arbitration involving corporate tax disputes.
