Alvan L. Bobrow Gives NYS/NYC Tax Update for New Jersey CPAs at Conference

Alvan L. Bobrow, a partner in the Hodgson Russ LLP State & Local Tax Practice Group, was a presenter recently at the annual Multistate Tax Conference hosted by the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA). The conference was held December 1 in Edison, New Jersey, and attracted more than 200 attendees.

Mr. Bobrow’s presentation focused on recent developments in New York State and New York City taxes. Among the topics covered were revisions to the corporation tax, sales tax, and an in-depth discussion of residency rules. Mr. Bobrow also covered the new record-keeping requirements and sanctions for failing to comply, as well as the new enforcement initiatives the Tax Department has undertaken.
